Kornis János Villamosmérnökként végzett a Budapesti Műszaki Egyetemen 1984-ben. Jelenleg docensként dolgozik a BME Fizika Tanszékén, az optikai Méréstechnikai Csoport vezetője. Kutatási területei: holografikus- és szemcsekép méréstechnika, számítógépes képfeldolgozás, digitális jelfeldolgozás. Független hivatkozásainak száma: 667.
