Dr. Istvan Koller received MSc. degree and dr. univ. degree on Electrical Engineering at Budapest University of Technology in 1985 and 1991 respectively. Since the graduation he is a lecturer at the Department of the Networked Systems and Services at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His research/development activity is on the field of analog electronics, measurement technics, computer architectures, high speed, high complexity CPU, FPGA, DSP hardware development. He has been the leader of several successful research/development projects. He was the director of the RTD-BME American-Hungarian research/development laboratory on the field of embedded computing. Dr. Koller worked on several research/development projects on the field of High speed embedded x86 architecture controlled FPGA/DSP based communication satellite receiver design, quantum communication control hardware design for CVQKD and Free Space QKD systems, robust hardware design for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and the Ground Control Station communication system, UWB technology based in room navigation system design, high speed, high resolution industrial data acquisition system hardware design, Radio Direction Finding systems hardware design for the 1 MHz - 6 GHz wide frequency band.
