Peter Domokos, ordinary member of the Hungarian academy of Sciences, the vice-director of the Wigner Research Centre is leading a tenured “Momentum” research group. He got his PhD in 1998 from the Laboratoire Kastler Brossel at the Ecole Normale Superieure. He constructed the scheme of the first two-qubit universal quantum logic gate. His research focus is on the quantum operations based on the atom-photons interaction, he is one of the authors of the basic review paper in this field in 2013. He participated in several EU FP7 consortia as a partner. He published 84 peer reviewed papers in international journals. He has been serving as a Divisional Associate Editor of the Physical Review Letters since 2020.
