Örs Legeza, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, professor, head of the Strongly Correlated Systems “Lendület” Research Group at the Wigner Research Centre for Physics, currently a visiting professor at the Philipps Universität Marburg, and a Hans Fischer Senior Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study, Technische Universität München. His main research interests focus on the development of novel tensor network state methods via concepts of quantum information theory, and their application to strongly correlated quantum many-body systems to simulate and study magnetic properties in solid states, exotic quantum phases, complex molecular clusters, ultracold atomic systems, and nuclear structures. He has spent more than ten years abroad (Institut Laue-Langevin in Grenoble, Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen, Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, Ludwig Maximilian Universität München) , and has received the Humboldt Award in 2018, the Academy Award of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2021, and the Hans Fischer Senior Award and Fellowship in 2021.
