Quantum computer emulation laboratory

The aim of the project is to provide a domestic environment for the developers of quantum algorithms in cooperation with the Eötvös Loránd University and the Wigner Physics Research Center. Within this framework, we participate in or launch open source quantum computer emulator projects with a level of development work in line with market standards. The concept of the laboratory is that when developed on high-performance target hardware (GPU, FPGA, etc.), our consortium will also appear on the map of quantum computer emulator developers internationally.

We focus on the emulation of photonic quantum processors. Our basic long-term goal is to develop a photonic quantum simulator with which the so-called bosonic sampling and simulation of related machine learning algorithms is possible.
